So many sweets, so little time!

My Sweeties!

These are some pics of our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma Frank's house. Jae and Mac weren't the mighty egg hunters that their daddy had expected. Mackay liked to inspect each egg he picked up, while Jaelyn ran back and forth tripping over eggs. Needless to say the hunt took a while.

We also had 3 legged races, bubble blowing contest and basketball competitions. The older cousins got to hunt for their Easter surprises by digging through the straw. Jaelyn just had fun throwing it on everyone. Thanks for all the fun Grandma!!!

Egg Heads!

After days of begging (on Jaelyn's part) I finally got it together and we dyed Easter eggs. As soon as they were colored and 'stickered', Jaelyn said, "Now let's hide them." I was thinking, "Let's put them back in the fridge." I can usually only handle one big production each morning.

Jaelyn stopped momentarily for a smile, but for Mackay the stickers were serious business.

New Pictures

These our the kids birthday photos. Jae posed herself for most of the pics that were taken. The girl that helped us offered Jaelyn a job.

Mackay, on the other hand, was nothing but trouble. This pic turned out cute, but the rest of his poses looked about the same. Just different angles of a frown =) He is so cute, but when he doesn't get what he wants he can be such a stinker.

Mackay wasen't up for a group shot, but we got them on the bench and then Roger started tickling me behind the camera. The kids thought it was so funny.
We got smiles, but Jae and Mac kept their eyes on us.

Red Hot

So I am in Macys the other day. Jaelyn and Mackay were 'driving' the shopping cart. We were headed to the bread area and stopped to let an elderly man go in front of us (yes, I'm trying to teach my children to be polite =)). Just as the guy passed us, his pants (which I might add, were fitted with a belt) fell down to his knees to show off his chili pepper boxers. AAAHHHHHH! Thank goodness the guy was HOH because I had to laugh (I tried to stop it, but it slipped). He took a couple of steps, then leaned down to pull them up without even looking around. He never missed a beat which leads me to believe that it had happened before. "Cinch the belt up dude. It's there for a reason!" Luckily Jaelyn didn't notice. If she had seen it,she would still be talking about it and asking questions until next December. It sure got my heart racing. I felt like I was back at Sunshine Terrace. After my initial reaction to laugh, the thought went through my head, "Should I help him pull them up?" ------ I didn't.

Princess Power!

We (me, Jaelyn and Grandma Frank) went to Disney on Ice last night. All the princesses were there with their princes. Of course, I didn't have the camera it was on the counter at home with a fully charged battery - drat! Oh well, at least I didn't forget the tickets, right?!? Jaelyn had a great time. She wore her Sleeping Beauty dress and skipped the entire walk from where we parked to the ESA. Once she had popcorn and lemonade in hand we were ready for the show. She sat the entire time with her mouth hanging open in pure amazement? I guess, I really don't know what was going through her imaginative little mind. I wish I could have got a pic of it. My mom and I got quite a kick out of watching her, oh and the princesses too. We collectively give Disney on Ice Princess Wishes a ***** rating.

Tagged - What's in my bag?

I didn't respond the last time Kiesha tagged my, so I figure I better get on it! This is my bag. I usually don't have this much crap in it. You caught me on a bad day =)
- my wallet
- cell phone
- sunglasses for me and Jaelyn, who knows where Mackay's are. He really likes to wear them, so they could be anywhere. He wore them for the entire 3 blocks of church last week. The nursery leaders were thrilled.
- gum (2 packs-Orbitz and extra)
- diaper and wipes - I wish Mackay would get with it so I could quit carrying them around. He will pee when I put him on the potty. The problem is getting him on the toilet. As I drug him to the bathroom kicking and screaming today, I decided that I will just keep buying diapers until he is ready.
- a birthday card I got from a friend - it is a reminded to call her and get together for a play date!
- 101 Dalmatians ??
- a stapler ??
- a pen
- a Sharpe
- a jewel box to take some earrings in to be fixed
- lotion
- chap stick - SPF 30 which is a must (I get cold sores from the sun)
- my little red bag - which holds the essentials - Immodium and tampons =)
- smarties, suckers, tootsie rolls - for bribery

I want to tag Kristie Pearce, Lindsey (I really want to know what you carry in your bag with those new babies) and Lisa (I need to know what you carry for 5 kids under 5).

Our artist, Mackay
and our scientist, Jaelyn.
Jaelyn is doing the volcano experiment with
vinegar and baking soda.
She thinks it is pretty exciting and it puts my gallon of
vinegar to good use,
since I only really use it in the summer to
put on cucumbers! Yum!

The Rest of the Story.

I posted the pictures of the temple before the disaster happened. Here is 'the rest of the story'. As we drove north through Pocatello, I realized that I had forgot to pack the temple clothes, but I just blew it off as no big deal since we could just rent some. As we went through Rigby Roger's stomach turned and he wanted me to get to the hotel room ASAP, which I was happy to do since he always drives fast for me when I have IBS (he has the claw marks in his arm to prove it). He was sick for a quite a while after we got there, so we decided to skip our 6pm appt to go through a session. We just went and took the pics. The next morning we got ready to go to our 10 am appt, but when Rog checked his wallet he didn't have our recommends. They were with the temple clothes (which isn't where we usually keep them). It was disappointing, especially since it was Feb 29th and I made new years resolution to go to the temple once per month, so we had to drive back and go to the Logan temple that night. Isn't Satan sneaky?!? =) So I can't report of the inside of the Rexburg, Idaho temple, but the outside sure was pretty.
