Sure Signs of Summer

Well, I guess it is finally summer. I love it. But I love all the seasons. By the time one is ending, I am usually glad that it is and that there is something to look forward to in the upcoming season. Rog and I could never live in a place where there is only one season. We would go crazy.
Our kids are already having a fun summer. A man in our ward saddles up his horses every Wednesday night and lets the kids have rides. Both kids look forward to Wednesday.

Who doesn't love corn on the cob? No, it isn't from our garden, but it was probably the best Macey's corn on the cob we have had. (If you put on enough butter, anything would taste good :)

We have been out on the wave runners several times, but I never remember to bring the camera to get pics. Well, last week I took it and it got wet, so we have no camera at the moment (these pics were already on the card - it didn't get ruined). Funny thing (not really funny at all) is that when we got back from the dam, I put Roger's shorts in the washer to soak. They soaked for about 2 hours before we realized that Rog's cell phone was in the pocket. Yup, I'm dumb. Amazingly enough the phone starting working (and is still going strong) after it dried out in a blazing hot car for about 24 hours. No luck on the camera, so pics may be sparce. We have had water issues lately. About a month ago, Jaelyn sprayed water with a spray bottle (just cleaning you know) into the vents on our tv upstairs. It has also gone the ways of the wind. I guess all bad things come in 3's - even in the electronic world.

Fun, Fun!

Our summer schedule has started off with a bang. Jaelyn has kept us busy with t-ball twice a week and dance three times a week, along with playing with friends everyday (at least wanting too). I feel bad for Mackay because he doesn't have anything going on, but I also don't know what we will do when he is involved in activities as well.
I have also been busy with my new calling. I am the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society. Yes, that is over enrichment, and I am the youngest one in RS by ~20 yrs. I will be expecting posts of your condolences as well as any ideas that would be fun for the 'younger women' (age 25-45).

Roger is excited that the workplace has moved closer to us. It is now in Ogden. It cuts his commute time in half - as well as what we pay for gas. He is still in the Elders Quorum Presidency which will prove interesting with my new calling. We will be busier, which will keep Grandma and the aunties and cousins busy this summer. Thanks you in advance!

Next!

Round 2. Mackay got tubes put in his ears today. He did a lot better than I thought he would (mostly because we had the computer with us so he could watch Cars). The anesthesiologist that took him from us had a Cars cap on, so Mackay thought that he was ok. Mackay got tubes because he has had 5 ear infections since January. We are hoping that this will help Mackay feel better. Love ya, Mackay!

Fun at the Pool!

These posts ended up out of order. If you care, read the San Diego post first =)

Jaelyn also had a great time at the hotel pool.
She practiced her diving skills and actually did
a pretty good job.

Mackay also had fun, but he isn't as brave as his sister.

San Diego

Rog goes to a Rite Aid golf tournament every spring in San Diego. We love to go along and have fun in the sun. We rode a ferry to Coronado where we ate dinner then rode it back.
That is why this pic is in the dark.
Here are the kids at Sea World holding star fish.
Mackay liked to 'chuck' them back into the water.

The 'elePants' (elephants) were the highlight of Mackays trip.

I love Mackay's face in this pic. It is a controlled fear look he had on his face as he entered the
Lorakeet cage and saw the birds flocking to his dad and Jaelyn to drink nectar.

When a bird landed on his hat, he just froze.
Jaelyn thought it was great. She couldn't believe she actually had a bird sit on her head and playing with the bows in her hair. These birds were at the Wild Animal Park.

Yee-haw!

While Rog golfed, we went to a mall across the street. Jaelyn had fun with a new friend she made at this fountain. Mackay wasn't quite sure about getting his clothes wet. After a few minutes of watching the other kids, he was just fine with the idea.

We also had fun at the beach.
