Terrible Two's are Over with --- we hope!!!

Our baby boy is 3. Time sure flies when your having fun. It is no lie!

Mackay wanted dinosaurs and a red airplane for his birthday. Surprisingly neither request was easy to find. The red airplane was impossible for me. Grandma found one in another county. Thanks for the determination Grandma.Mackay helped make his own dinosaur mountain birthday cupcake cake.
Happy Birthday!!! Mac only blew the candles out about 15 times, Jaelyn about 3 (she is practicing up for next week). Thank goodness for a lighter that actually worked this year.
Happy Birthday, Buddy!!! We love you!
Mackay has been a challenging child for us (in comparison to our easy going Jaelyn) . He is a little bipolar, but he is so cute when he is happy that it seriously makes up for the bad times of tantrums and screaming at cute little ladies in the grocery store. It has been so fun to watch him learn and grow up this past year. He is getting to be so smart and saying the funniest things.
Here's to another fun year.

My Kind of Skiing!!!

It was a beautiful day to ski, which worked out great for me, because I am (without a doubt) a fair weather skiier. The kids both did great. Jaelyn is cruising on her own. She makes me nervous because she just wants to bomb straight down the hill. She is a dare-devil and is already wanting to hit the powder and go on all the little 'secret trails'.
Mackay started to get the hand of things and was starting to stand and ski on his own before we left for the day. He is a little 'nervous narvous', but with Rog for a Dad, that won't be allowed for too long:) Rog and I got a good workout dressing kids warm, then undressing them because it was 'too hot', not to mention potty breaks, carrying kids, pulling kids (Jae needs to work on her side steps), tow ropes and hauling 4 sets of skis, boots, poles, shoes and clothes. Phew!!! We all had a long nap when we got home.

Happy 70th Dad!!

We gave my Dad 70 one dollar bills for his big day.
Actually, the stack of cash wasn't as big as I thought it would be.
My Dad is the best. He doesn't say much, but when he does, we all listen up. He would do anything for his children or his grand-children, even sacrifice sitting in his new recliner for them to have a turn. Thanks for all you do for us, Dad!
You are only as old as you feel.
Tonight he told us that he feels like he is 39. Live it up Dad.
