Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

What a fun Christmas. We had a great day.
Yes, Santa left a dog for Mackay.
Her name is Cola. She is a Borador (a lab, border collie mix).
Now the real fun begins:)

Just Breath........

I always tell myself that I am going to write down the funny things that my kids say. Usually I forget what they said before I get to writing it down. Early Alzheimer's, I guess:) Anyway, Jaelyn and I went into the restroom at a restaurant in town. It was a pretty gross one, (no I'm not going to tell you which restaurant, only the fact that it has been around forever and we love the food so we will deal with the yucky bathroom). Jaelyn goes into a stall and I just stand by the sink to wait for her. This is what I hear her saying to herself, "Breath through your mouth, Jaelyn. Jaelyn breath through your mouth." Not sure who taught her to do that, but I got a really good laugh out of it.

So....what did you do for Spring Break?

We made the best of all the freaking snow! This started out as a snowman and ended up as a bunny. A huge one! Honestly, it never stopped snowing Thursday through Saturday night.
We did enjoy the first part of the week by going to SLC. Rog had a test to take, so the kids and I checked out Discovery Gateway and Hogle Zoo. We stayed over night, and the kids enjoyed swimming in the hotel pool. Little did we know that we were coming home to the arctic. Jaelyn has been humming Christmas songs, which cute and irritating all at the same time:)

My Kind of Growing Up.

When I tucked Mackay in tonight, I asked him what song he wanted me to sing to him. When he didn't answer I started singing, 'The Wheels on the Bus'.

Immediatly Mackay said, "Stop, Mom. That's a baby song."

My response, "Oh Really?"

Mackay - "I want Twinkle, Twinkle".

My little boy is growing up:)

Skating at Central Park

Jaelyn and Mackay both loved ice skating. They are begging to go back tomorrow. Karlee played on the ice and Roger pulled her around in a sled. It took me back to when I was a kid skating at the rink. Dang, that seems like a long time ago. Such a cool view of the temple.
